IT&LY Classic Blue Award Terms and condition

1.           Introduction

1.1         This document sets out the terms and conditions (“Terms”) that apply to participation in the IT&LY Classic Blue Colour award organised by Italy Hair and Beauty Ltd via italyhairbeauty.com and with our network of distributers. This Competition uses Pantone Classic Blue as the inspiration but is not affiliated or organised by Pantone LLC.

1.2         The promoter is Italy Hair and Beauty Ltd – Greenhill Crescent, Watford. The Promoter reserves the right to change these terms at any time and to communicate the changes to entrants by updating these Terms on this web page. 

1.3         By entering this Competition all entrants and salons will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

2.           Participation

2.1         To participate in the Competition entrants must:
a) Be 16 or older on 1st March 2020

b) Be a resident in the United Kingdom
c) Be employed by a hairdressing salon, actively working as a freelance hairdresser and essentially be working in the hairdressing trade and legally working.

2.2        You may enter as many times as you wish but be aware that quality is better than quantity. We would rather have a photo that has the wow factor than several that could have been better executed.

2.3         To take part in the Competition, entrants must complete the form on the Website and please Hashtag the image #italyclassic blue or upload their image via the form on the website. The form on the website must be completed to let us know you are entering and make sure you understand the terms and conditions.

2.4 A condition of entry is that stylists must use only IT&LY Hair Fashion Colours and Lighteners on the look they have created. These can be any IT&LY Hair Fashion colours included Aquarely, Colorly 2020, Delyton, Blossom, Light and Passion toners and Oh My Blonde Toners. It is not a requirement to purchase the competition bundles of products but these have been created to help with entry at a discounted price if an entrant does not have a stock of these products.  

2.5         The closing date for entries is 1pm March 15^th 2020 Any entries received after the closing date will not be eligible.

2.6         Salaried employees of IT&LY Hair Fashion or IT&LY Hair and Beauty Ltd or any related companies, and their family members, are not permitted to enter the Competition.

2.7         It is entirely the responsibility of the entrant to make sure we are aware they have entered.

2.8          A condition of entering and part of the competition mechanism is that we will share your photo via Facebook or Instagram. We also reserve the right to not share any entry that we deem doesn’t fit the competition criteria. We will share your photo to a Facebook album. Once we have enough entries we will embed this gallery onto our website.    

3.           Prize

3.1        The prize is one prize £400 plus vat of hairdressing tools from the IT&LY Hair and Beauty Catalogue of products. This includes but not exclusively includes scissors, brushes, combs, razors and electricals.  IT&LY Hair and Beauty may add additional prizes should the competition be very popular or entrants are deemed suitable to reward.  There is no cash alternative or product alternative.

3.2        A winner will be obliged to forfeit any prize if:

(a) An entrant or winner is found not to have used IT&LY Hair Fashion Colour, not be a qualified and working hair stylist.

(b) Plagiarised another person’s work and they do not own the photograph, used another person’s work or has not credited any person who was majorly involved in the execution of the hair look submitted.

3.3 The winner’s name and employer will be announced via IT&LY Hair and Beauty Ltd United Kingdom’s social media, website and the winner will be contact via email and telephone

4. The photograph and Hair look

The rules on what you can create and photograph have been left deliberately loose in order to encourage creativity.

4.1 The hair look may be finished however you wish, curled, hair up, straightened. You may add in hair or use extensions to create a look but they must be used sensitively with a purpose in the final look and coloured with IT&LY colour.

4.2 The hair look must contain at least one blue colour of your choice. However you may use other colours. Examples: A blue against blonde or several blues, blue in silver hair, blue ombre or blue pieces in dark hair or red hair. Several blondes or pinks with blue. Wherever your creativity takes you!

4.3 The models face does not have to be in the picture but please decide for yourself whether it would be better to include a picture of your model from the front or the side and what would give you the best chance of winning.

4.4.The photo should not be deliberately misleading or filtered to change any aspect of the colour or hairdressing. Brightened or toned in order to change the original image.

5. Image quality

Please provide a decent quality image, that is clear and not pixelated in anyway Our online entry form will accept entries up to 2mb. You can also hashtag the the photo you wish to enter with #italyclassicblue.  You can If you have any issue uploading your entry contact keely@italyhairbeauty.com

6. Image Rights

As part of the condition of this competition you will allow IT&LY Hair and Beauty to use you photograph for promotional purposes during the competition and for a reasonable length of time afterwards.  

7. Judging comes in two parts

We will upload your entry to a voting gallery on Facebook for the community to click like and comment. You may wish to plan how early you will enter in order to give time for people to like your photo. Should you enter on the last day 15^th March this may make it harder for you to rack up some likes. However, if your work is brilliant you may still have a chance of winning so please give it a shot! However if you come from a smaller salon or are an individual stylist please still enter as we are using a blended approach to judge.

The spirit of the competition is about seeing your talent and what creativity exists in the IT&LY Hairdressing community. Uncovering, showcasing and rewarding creativity. Also, about IT&LY stylists supporting one another.

However essentially this is about the work and in order to be fair the IT&LY Hair and Beauty team will also be judging the entries. Thus making it fair for any hairstylist to enter. We will also show the entries to other unbiased regions such as the USA and Milan.

Depending on the response and popularity of the competition we may add more prizes.   

8.           General

8.1      The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence on any matter concerning the Competition will be entered into.

8.2    The Promoter reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Competition or to extend any closing date.

8.3      These Terms are governed by English law.

9.           Privacy

As an entrant you will be allowing us to hold the data on you that you’ve supplied to us. We will keep this in accordance with our privacy policy and in accordance with GPPR. By supplying us with your contact details you are happy for us to contact you about the competition. On the entry form you have the option to opt into marketing emails. Your details are only for our use.
