Who we are

This is the privacy notice of It&ly Hair and Beauty Ltd. In this document the terms “we”, “our” or “us” refer to It&ly Hair and Beauty Limited.  It&ly Hair and Beauty Ltd supply hair and beauty products to trade customers.  These include regional wholesale customers, trade salon customers and individuals. We also operate a website and ecommerce store.

We are company number 2880925 registered in England & Wales.

Introduction

This is It&ly Hair and Beauty’s privacy statement in accordance with the data protection act and GDPR.  We wish to be transparent about the data we hold about our customers and website users.  This includes why we collect the data we hold, its usage and how long we intend to keep this data, and that we keep the data private and safe.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

1.   Information we process because we have a contractual obligation with you

When you create an account on our website, buy a product or service from us, or otherwise agree to our terms and conditions, a contract is formed between you and us.

To carry out our obligations under that contract we must process the information you give us. Some of this information may be personal information.

  • your identity for security purposes
  • sell products to you and arrange delivery
  • provide you with our services
  • provide you with suggestions and advice on products, services and how to obtain the most from using our website

Through certain actions when otherwise there is no contractual relationship between us, such as when you browse our website or ask us to provide you more information about our business, including Job opportunities and our products and services, you provide your consent to us to process information that may be personal information.

Wherever possible, we aim to obtain your explicit consent to process this information.

Sometimes you might give your consent implicitly, such as when you send us a message by e-mail to which you would reasonably expect us to reply.

Except where you have consented to our use of your information for a specific purpose, we do not use your information in any way that would identify you personally. We may aggregate it in a general way and use it to provide class information, for example to monitor the performance of a page on our website.

We continue to process your information on this basis until you withdraw your consent, or it can be reasonably assumed that your consent no longer exists.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by instructing us at: info@tools4hair.com. However, if you do so, you may not be able to use our website or our services further. For example, if you would like your website account deleted.

3.    Information we process for the purposes of legitimate interests

We may process information on the basis there is a legitimate interest, either to you or to us, of doing so.

Where we process your information on this basis, we do so after having given careful consideration to:

  • whether the same objective could be achieved through other means
  • whether processing (or not processing) might cause you harm
  • whether you would expect us to process your data, and whether you would, in the round, consider it reasonable to do so

For example, we may process your data on this basis for the purposes of:

  • record-keeping for the proper and necessary administration of our
  • responding to unsolicited communication from you to which we believe you would expect a response

4.  Information we process because we have a legal obligation

We are subject to the law like everyone else. Sometimes, we must process your information to comply with a statutory obligation.

For example, we may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation, such as a search warrant or court order.

This may include your personal information.

5.  Information relating to your method of payment

We do not store your payment information. If we take an order by telephone or you pay via invoice, we do not store your credit card details once the transaction has finished. If you pay via our website, the payment is encrypted on Barclays servers and we do not have access to your credit card details.

6.    Sending a message to our support team, via phone, mail or web form

When you contact us, whether by telephone, through our website or by e-mail, we collect the data you have given to us to reply with the information you need.

We record your request and pass that information on to the right person within our organisation to provide you with an efficient resolution to your query.

In the case of the web forms we hold the data securely on our server and the initial enquiry is deleted after one month. While you may continue communicating with the person helping you. For example you may want technical assistance with hair colour and then continue to contact our technician after your initial enquiry. (see section 2)

7.    Direct Marketing

We send direct mail, including brochures, newsletters and special offers to trade customers with orders. This is because you are a customer of ours. If you do not wish to receive this information contact us via info@tools4hair.com and request to be removed from the mailing list.

8.   Cookies

Our ecommerce software uses functional cookies to remember parts of the website for you, including what is stored in your basket and attributing the basket to the right customer within the data base. However, these types of functionality cookies do not store personal data that can identity you.

9.   Security and Encryption

It&ly Hair & Beauty Ltd only collects and stores information when you make a purchase. We will ask you for your first and last name, email address, billing address, delivery address, and credit card information. We consider the information you choose to share with us personal and confidential. We therefore do not share this information with any other parties. All sensitive/credit information supplied by you is transmitted via a secure socket layer (SSL) to encrypt your information and help make sure that only It&ly Hair & Beauty Ltd ever see it.

10. Your Rights and your Data

At any time you may review or update personally identifiable information that we hold about you, by signing in to your account on our website. To obtain a copy of any information that is not provided on our website you may send us a request at: info@tools4hair.com

11. Removal of your information

If you wish us to remove personally identifiable information from our website, you may contact us at: info@tools4hair.com.

12. Verification of your information

When we receive any request to access, edit or delete personal identifiable information we shall first take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access or otherwise taking any action. This is important to safeguard your information.

13. Social Media

IT&LY Hair and Beauty use facebook, Instagram and twitter for social media marketing. We currently do not use remarketing cookies or pixels. If you use these websites or apps please make yourself aware of the privacy policies they operate with independently of our website.

14. Children

Our business is designed to be of interest to adults who work in the hair and beauty trade. We do not market to or keep information from those under the age of 16. From time to time those at college or working in the hair industry of apprenticeship age may choose to view our website.
